Today I want to share with you some more snippets of the wedding, more specifically, the flowers!!
We used a local florist for the bouquets and corsages (not pictured but some were white roses with lime berries and some were white orchids) and I made fishing lure boutineers for the men. The bridal bouquet is made up of white hydrangeas, hot pink roses and lime green berries. Although it is not pictured, the stem was wrapped in hot pink ribbon and there were rhinestone flowers glued on. Had to have some bling! The maid of honor bouquet was made up of lime green spider mums with a hot pink ribbon tied around the stems.
The rest of the flowers were ordered from Sams Club online. The price that the local florists wanted just to put together some centerpieces was crazy! It was so much more thrifty to just put them together myself. I am so glad that I did, they easy to order, very affordable and fantastic quality.
In the reception I chose to have three different size of tables as well as a sweetheart table just for the bride and groom. I wanted all of the centerpieces on the tables to be similar yet different in their own way. The tables all started with the same base layer: floor length white table cloth and chairs with white slip covers and white sashes tied around the backs. The white really lightened up the room and completely helped transform it, I am definitely 100% pro chair slip covers! A nice clean white slate to get rid of the ugly maroon paisley thing we had going on.
The square tables held a fresh bouquet of white hydrangeas and pink roses in a hot pink round vase overtop of a lime green silk table runner. Around the flowers were three votive candles with a velum shade and scattered rose petals. The velum shades were made by taking pieces of velum (in the paper section of the craft store) and folding them accordion style and glueing them together at the ends and then slipping overtop of a glass votive. The venue we chose won’t allow real candles to be lit, so the velum shade hid the battery operated candle, unless you really looked at it, you couldn’t even tell the candles weren’t real!
The round tables had the white base layer, a pink satin table runner and held a lime green and hot pink lantern. I found these at Marshalls and they were just perfect for the wedding decor! Along side the lanterns were hot pink Gerber daisies in bud vases filled with water and clear glass marbles. We also used the velum shade and rose petals.
This is the one rectangle table that we had, decorated with the lantern/bud vase display.
This is our sweetheart table! It was so pretty!! We covered the white table cloth with a hot pink sheer glittered fabric and the slip covers were tied with a hot pink sash for the bride’s chair and a lime green sash for the groom’s chair. The vase was a beautiful yard sale find by my MIL and so was the silver Champagne holder! We used that to hold my bouquet in! The flowers used in the centerpiece are my favorites, pink roses and whitish green hydrangeas. I also added some greenery and some lime green poms as well as pearl sprays and cherry blossom branches. We had our champagne flutes ready to go filled with our signature drink, Raspberry Champagne! Cheers!
