Wedding Dance Video

18 Feb

Hi all!  Per a request from my lovely lady, I wanted to share the video of me and my husband’s first dance from our wedding.  This dance was a surprise to everyone except for my dad who helped us create our music.  Everyone was so surprised and loved it.  We wanted the wedding vibe to be chill, fun and just a good time for everyone, so we created this dance to start the mood off right for our guests and to lighten things up. Here is the link on facebook. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=1117974242631<
How funny is this video? And isn’t my husband the cutest?!?!  In case you are wondering, yes it was his smooth dancing skills that stole my heart!   Our wedding day/event was the happiest, most wonderful time in my life.  I had such a fun time with the planning and crafting at all, and the best part… marrying the man of my dreams whom I absolutely adore and becoming a step mother to my beautiful, extraordinary stepdaughter.  I am so blessed and so very thankful, I couldnt’t ask for more!

Until next time, friends!!

Month Milestone Baby Onsies

11 Feb Baby Age by Month Elephant Onsies

Hey there!  I wanted to share with you these adorable onesies that I made for my coworker’s baby shower.   The nursery theme was elephants so I decided to go with that theme for the onesies as well.  I created the elephant shape using my silhouette, colored it in, added some text and printed them out on iron on transfer paper.  I then ironed them on the age appropriate onesie and TA DA!  So absolutely adorable and homemade with love!

Baby Age by Month Elephant Onsies

Here they are in the box ready to go.  The onesies were stored in a plastic shoe sized container which I decorated using  green, blue, black & white vinyl with my silhouette machine.  I wanted to use the baby’s name, but the parents to be were not disclosing the baby’s name, so I just used their last name instead.

Vinyl Decorated Box

As I was creating the month onesies, I got the inspiration to make this one as well.  Both the mama and daddy started work for our company as analysts… so I thought this was be such a  cute gift.  I created the text and overall shape with my silhouette machine, found the clip art online and then printed & ironed it onto a onesie.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend the shower, but I heard afterwards that this onesie was a shower highlight.  I still have people come up to me raving about them.  YAY!

If you love these as much as I do but don’t have the time to make them… then visit my etsy shop here and I would love to make you some!  These are a great baby gift to help the new parents document their sweetie’s growing milestones.  I can customize the design and colors to your choosing, personalize with a name or whatever you like!  Just shoot me an email and we can work out the details!

Until next time, friends!

Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake Brownies with Chocolate Ganache

7 Feb Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake Brownies

Chocolate and Peanut Butter or Chocolate and Cheesecake… I am not sure which is my favorite combination of chocolate BUT the great thing about this brownie recipe is that you don’t have to choose…it has it all!  I was inspired to make this goodie when some friends came over for a get together  and brought us a big huge bag of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.   I set some out on the table and stashed the rest away for later in hopes to bake a yummy sinful treat… and this is what came of it…

Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake Brownies

These Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake Brownies with Chocolate Ganache Frosting are TO DIE FOR!  I  realize the name is super long, but I didn’t want to leave out a single bit.  Every part of this brownie is absolutely   A-MAZING and deserves the credit!!!

Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake Brownies

Here’s What’cha Need

  • Favorite Brownie recipe (or box mix & ingredients listed on box)
  • 8 oz  cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1  tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 package of chocolate chips or 12 oz chocolate chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups Peanut Butter Cup candies chopped

Here’s What’cha Do:

  • Pre heat oven to 350, grease brownie pan (I used a 9 x 13)
  • Prepare brownies and pour into pan
  • For cheesecake filling: In small bowl, beat cream cheese until creamy, add 1 egg peanut butter, vanilla and sweetened condensed milk.  Mix until combined and creamy.
  • Pour cream cheese mixture on top of brownies, spread around to coat entire pan.
  • Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until cheesecake layer is set (slightly brown)
  • Cool in pan completely then cool in fridge for at least an hour
  • Prepare ganache - Place chocolate chunks in small bowl.  Heat cream in saucepan over medium heat until it begins to boil (stirring frequently), then immediately pour over top of chocolate.  Stir until all the chocolate is melted. (FYI- the longer the ganche cools, the thicker it becomes.  For spreading like frosting I would recommend sitting in the fridge for an hour or so.)
  • Spread ganache over top of cheesecake layer.  Then add chopped peanut butter cups for topping.

Now… how bad do you want a bite?!?!  Your gonna need some extra milk for all this goodness.  Until next time, friends!

My Greatest Joys

31 Jan Kids 2012

No craft or yummy goodies today… instead I want to share with you a holiday photo that I took of my kids.  I over extended myself this year (like always) and was late in editing and getting the cards ready, so they never made it out. Whoops.  But isn’t this the cutest picture?!?!  I just love it, what a good looking, stylish bunch! xoxo

The greatest joy that I have in my life is my three kids.  I love them so much and am so unbelievably proud of the young adults (and toddler!) that I have been so blessed to watch them become.    My heart is filled with absolute pride, love and support for each one of them.  I am blessed and thankful to be their mama.

Valentines Day Burlap Banner

23 Jan Valentines Day "Be Mine" Burlap Banner

Valentine’s Day is in the air!  I love seeing everyone’s cute ideas out in blogland on their various Valentine Day projects. So many sweet receipes, crafts and cards to create!   I am a complete girly girl so all the pink hearts, flowers, chocolate and glitter gets me all excited!   I am working on romancing my mantle up a bit and thought the best place to start was with a festive banner.

Valentines Day "Be Mine" Burlap Banner

This “Be Mine” one is my favorite.  I told my Valentine I made it just for him… he rolled his eyes ;)

valbanner3

I had some red and natural colored burlap left over from Christmas so I used that to cut out the pennant shapes, which are strung with a lace trim.   For these with the red glitter letters, I used my silhouette to cut out letters on double-sided adhesive, secured on the burlap, and glittered it up.

 Valentines Day Burlap "Love" Banner

For this banner, instead of using red glitter letters I created a stencil with my silhouette and stenciled the letters in with black paint.

I just LOVE how they all turned out! So cute! I kept one and gave one to each of my sisters.   If you want one, then you can purchase one at my Etsy shop here.

Until next time, friends!

Rainbow Birthday Party

20 Jan Rainbow Layer Cake

Hey there!  I have been MIA for a while on the blogfront.  The holidays kept me busy and then life just got in the way.   A very special little sweetie helped get me out hiding… my precious baby girl turned 2!

tilly

Here are some pictures of  Miss Tilly’s 2nd Birthday!  We ddin’t have a big party, but instead she invited her cousins and a couple of her best little friends over for a rainbow themed play date.   The theme is totally fitting for Tilly because she has brought so much color and magic into our lives!

Rainbow Birthday Party

We served a colorful assortment of yummy goodies.   There was rainbow chocolate cupcakes, marshmallow pops dipped in white chocolate with rainbow sprinkles, a rainbow jello mold, rainbow jello cookies, rainbow goldfish,  lots of candy (skittles, twizzlers & M&Ms in apocothary jars) a rainbow fruit spread and their choice of PB&J or ham & cheese sandwich.  I found the printables for the water bottles here at Printabelle.

Rainbow Cake

I was extremely happy with how the cake turned out.  I was a little scared at first (in the past I have made triple layer cakes only to have them break right down the middle) but it was beautiful!  The cake looked great and tasted great too.  The secret is vanilla yogurt… it  added a great flavor while keeping the cake super moist.  Here is the recipe.

Tilly BirthdayTilly Birthday

Here is my birthday girl, waiting patiently for her candles to be lit.  And then blowing them out.  Too precious for words! xoxo

  Rainbow Birthday Party

For the backdrop on my party table I hung a white table-cloth and cut out hearts with my Silhouette Cameo and taped them on ribbon for streamers underneath tissue paper pom poms.  So cute!  There were some  left over heart cuts, so I scattered them around the food and favor tables.  For the favors, I made little boxes out of cardstock and filled with M&Ms.  I created a little Thank You tag and tied it all shut with a rainbow star ribbon.  I let each kid pick out their own coloring book and play doh from a basket to go along with their own personalized box of crayons.

Rainbow Party

For Christmas my honey gave me a Silhouette Cameo, which I LOVE so much! I am still learning things and there are soooo many accessories that I want (hint-hint any starter kit @ Silhouette America website!).    Thanks to my Cameo, I was able to make all these cute favors for the kids. I got started on the party planning late, but if I had more time I would have gone completely crazy with it all!

Tilly 2nd Birthday

This is one of my favorite pictures, it is Tilly giving her cousin a hug.  Pure bliss on that sweet face.  These are the moments that make it all worthwhile!

Happy Birthday, Tilly! xoxo
